Terms & Conditions

Draft — pending legal review. This page is a working draft written to match how sadt.org currently operates. It has not yet been reviewed by a lawyer and should not be treated as final until SADT's legal counsel confirms the governing law, jurisdiction and any country-specific requirements noted in brackets below.

Last updated: [date] — replace once approved.

1. Acceptance of these terms

By creating an account, posting, or otherwise using sadt.org (the "Site"), operated by Syrian Association for Digital Transformation ("SADT", "we", "us"), you agree to these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

2. What SADT is

SADT connects knowledge about Syria's digital transformation with the professionals who can turn it into research, proposals, working groups, RFCs, blueprints and delivered projects. SADT's approval of any project, blueprint or RFC does not imply endorsement by any government or external institution.

3. Accounts

You must provide accurate information when registering, keep your credentials confidential, and are responsible for activity under your account. You may optionally enable two-factor authentication in Account → Security, and may sign in via a supported third-party provider where offered. One account per person; accounts are for individuals, not shared logins.

4. Acceptable use

When posting in the forum, proposing RFCs, joining working groups or contributing to projects, you agree not to post unlawful, defamatory, harassing or infringing content, impersonate others, or attempt to disrupt the Site's operation (including circumventing rate limits or the security checks on public forms). Moderators and admins may edit, hide or remove content, and may suspend or terminate accounts, for violations of these terms or the Site's community guidelines.

5. Your content

You retain ownership of what you post. By posting, you grant SADT a non-exclusive, worldwide license to host, display, and distribute that content as part of operating the Site (for example, showing your forum posts, RFCs or project updates to other members and, where marked public, to search engines). You are responsible for having the rights to anything you post.

6. Working groups, RFCs, blueprints & projects

Participation in working groups, RFC proposals, blueprints and projects is voluntary and collaborative. SADT does not guarantee that any proposal will be adopted, funded, or implemented, and participation does not create an employment, agency, or partnership relationship with SADT.

7. Member directory

If you opt in to directory visibility in your account settings, your name, bio, country, skills and availability may be shown to other members or visitors in the Members directory. You can change this at any time from your account settings.

8. Security reports

The contact form includes a "Security report" topic for responsibly disclosing vulnerabilities. Please describe the issue clearly. SADT does not currently operate a paid bug-bounty program; this may change and would be announced separately.

9. Suspension & termination

We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these terms, misuse of the Site, or legal requirements. You may stop using the Site and request account deletion at any time via the contact form.

10. Disclaimers & limitation of liability

The Site and its content (including forum posts, RFCs, blueprints and third-party links) are provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by [governing law — to be confirmed], SADT is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from use of the Site.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of [jurisdiction to be confirmed by SADT / legal counsel]. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of [venue to be confirmed].

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the Site after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. Material changes will be noted on this page.

13. Contact

Questions about these terms can be sent through the contact form.
